Accountant Launches Bucks and Rucks Blog

A rugby enthusiast bookkeeper and accountant has launched a new unique blog in which he shares his opinions, reviews and concerns on all things ‘bucks and rucks’.

Andrew (Andy) Housley, who lives and works in Chesterfield, has launched the blog to share advice about money and business matters (bucks), but he will also be discussing his favourite sport rugby, which involves a play called a ruck.

Andy is a keen fan of all things rugby, and especially Rugby Union. Having been involved with Chesterfield Panthers RUFC on a voluntary basis he now uses his financial and rugby skills to do their accounts and bookkeeping.

Andy, who is also a regular Leicester Tigers spectator, said: “There are two things I am passionate about: rugby and helping local business do well by offering advice and doing a good job with their bookkeeping and accounts. So when I decided it was time to start writing a blog, it made sense to bring my passions together.”

The blog, which will be published monthly, will focus on aspects of the sport as well as providing advice for businesses and individuals around tax, bookkeeping and other financial matters. In time, it is likely to include guest blogs from other people who share his passions.

Andy said: “My clients tell me I am more than just the average bookkeeper who does accounts, so this will be more than just the average blog.”

He is also happy to hear from potential new rugby club and other sporting clients, who would like to sit down with him and see how he can help their business and chat about the game.
