Founder of Yorkshire firm heads to capital to share success story with Britain’s manufacturing sector

Founder of The Stitch Society Charlotte Meek has been announced as a guest speaker at this year’s Meet the Manufacturer – the annual event held by the pioneering organisation – Make it British –promoting British manufacturing.

The only trade show to champion British manufacturing, the two-day event, held in London, (24- 25 May 2017) will showcase inspirational and distinctly British brands.

It aims to connects carefully curated British manufacturers with today’s top buyers, designers and retailers, all collectively passionate about the highest quality British-made products in fashion, textiles and homeware.

After successfully launching The Stitch Society two years ago, designing and manufacturing premium luxury work aprons to artisans from around the world, founder Charlotte Meek will share how, from her studio in Saltaire, West Yorkshire, she has ‘sew’ successfully interweaved British heritage and fabrics with modern E-commerce to create a new British brand.


Her guest speech: British brands need a clear vision of the future to succeed will reflect on her experience of building an emerging British brand right here in Yorkshire.

The annual event aims to create greater awareness of home-grown, British talent in manufacturing and proactively promotes the country’s great British Brands.
