Rudding Park Reservations Rocket Following the Launch of New Spa

Rudding Park, which celebrated the launch of its new spa in May 2017, has seen reservation enquiries rocket by an impressive 60% since the opening. In response to this increase, Rudding Park has implemented a team restructure to manage demand and ensure guests receive the hotel’s high levels of service, renowned in Yorkshire and beyond.

Karen Tyson-Smith, Head of Sales and Revenue has overseen the team restructure, appointing Rebecca Roberts as Manager of Business Development, responsible for driving new business with a focus on the local, regional, national, international MICE and luxury travel market. Rebecca’s role will further strengthen the Rudding Park brand through the exploration of revenue-driving opportunities to develop long term growth and sustainability.

The Sales and Revenue team has also seen Valerie Cook promoted to Revenue Manager, owing to her contributions towards growing the business through effective selling and conversation of enquiries. Event Sales Manager, Lyndsey Gibbs and Reservations Manager, Alice Wood will now oversee a team that has grown from 12 to 16, owing to the increased demand Rudding Park is experiencing.

This generation of new jobs at Rudding Park follows 50 roles created when the spa launched in May, providing a boost to the regional employment market and strengthening the hotel’s longstanding support of the local community, which was also reflected in the hotel’s use of local contractors during the spa development process.


The team developments at Rudding Park reflect the hotel’s commitment to providing guests with an exceptional standard of hospitality. On the team restructure, Karen Tyson-Smith commented “The team are thrilled by the boom in enquiries and excitement the new spa has generated. Rudding Park was already an incredible product to sell, but the addition of the spa has shifted the team’s enthusiasm and motivation up another gear! This is then followed through by every member of the Rudding Park team once the guest arrives, whatever the reason for their visit, as we all strive to ensure the ongoing success of Rudding Park”.
