A cut above the rest – Blossom launches in Lancashire

Emma Cryer owner of Blossom hair and beauty with her team

A young entrepreneurial hairdresser has realised her childhood dream and officially opened the doors to Blossom – an insta-worthy one-stop shop for hair and beauty.

The salon situated at South Rings, Bamber Bridge and provides hair, aesthetics, beauty and nail treatments houses a 7ft pink blossom tree, striking decor, foliage wall, two purpose built treatment rooms, reception area and additional beauty bar areas. It is the brain-child of 28 year-old hairdresser, Emma Cryer, from Lostock Hall.

Guests and clients enjoyed a luxury launch with DJ set, fizz reception, goody bags, hair and beauty tutorials plus prize draws to win products and services. Complimentary tasters included the very latest in hair curling techniques, a Microneedling facial and flawless new looks from Blossom’s resident make-up artist, Megan Williams.

Of the launch event, owner, Emma Cryer, said: “This has been a dream in the making for a long time. It’s taken a huge leap of faith, many years of saving and an excellent support network behind me to make it a reality.

“I remember working 12 hour days seven days a week and even doing client’s hair at my mum and dad’s house until 10pm at night which has all been part of the journey. My mum would walk past in her pj’s and I’d be rinsing a client’s hair dye over the bath. She’d just ignore the mess and put my tea on the table so I was fed before I finally got to bed. ”

In addition to Emma and Megan, the team at Blossom includes hairdressers Elizabeth Wilkinson and Sarah Cadley, nail technician and beauty therapist Nikki Sale and aesthetics practitioner, Rachel Childs.

When asked about what made Emma carve out a career in hair and beauty, she commented: “My mum used to be a hairdresser and I significantly remember watching her work and do her friend’s hair in our kitchen and thought, I really want to do this when I’m older.

“I’ve got such a fantastic client base in the area but I really wanted to create a unique space where people could get all the treatments they need in a stylish and friendly atmosphere. It’s a high-end salon like you’d find on a bustling Manchester street but here in the heart of Lancashire. There’s the added bonus of free parking and easy links to the major motorway and road links too.”

“When our guests first walk into the salon, they get the wow-factor straight away. Hearing that they love it as much as I do makes me realise that I’ve achieved exactly what I set out to do.”

Salon guest Jennifer Gannon from Buckshaw Village, said: “I feel so lucky to have this on my doorstep. I’ve already had my hair styled at Blossom and both the staff and the interiors made me feel truly pampered. I’ve already booked in some future appointments and can’t wait to get my make-up done for an upcoming special occasion too.”
