A leading provider of technology-led, paper-based and electronic communication solutions has started the New Year with a bang – investing over £800,000 in cutting-edge print machinery to further enhance its efficiency, speed and work volume.
Secure and Essential Communication specialists Adare SEC, an organisation striving to be at the forefront of technology, has installed a Criterion Apex Machine and upgraded its Jet Star system to the Mail Sortation department based at its Huddersfield site. The innovative organisation has also introduced a Hunkeler Folding Machine and GEW Rhino UV Curing System to its Redditch site.
The £525,000 investment into machinery at Adare SEC’s Clayton West, Huddersfield site, allows higher volumes and extra capacity to pass through the department by doubling work throughout, from the current run rate of 13,000 per hour to 30,000 per hour for the Criterion Apex.
A further £232,000 has been invested into Adare SEC’s Redditch site, in Claybrook Drive, to further enhance quality and accuracy with two new pieces of machinery.
The Hunkeler Folding Machine, which produces tickets for high-profile clients, has already resulted in a reduced downtime from blockages and a 30% speed increase in operations.
The GEW Rhino UV Curing System replaces the old three-lamp system with a new four-lamp system to improve drying capability, reduce downtime and wastage, and increase the running speed from 90 miles per minute to up to 150 miles per minute on average.
The machinery is now fully operational, enabling the organisation’s workforce to produce a higher volume of printed products such as tickets for Premier League football clubs and entertainment venues.
