Aqua Cure Launch New Online Water Hardness Checker

UK Water Hardness Postcode Checker

Southport-based water filtration experts Aqua Cure have just launched a new online water hardness checker, to let people check the level of water hardness at their address.

If mains supply water is classed as ‘hard’ it means that there are high levels of minerals such as calcium and magnesium, which can contribute to the buildup of limescale in your water. Having ‘hard water’ can cause performance issues with appliances that use the mains water supply such as dishwashers, washing machines and boilers, leading to higher energy bills and in some cases causing them to break down easily.

By simply entering their postcode online, Aqua Cure’s UK Hard Water Checker shows people the level of water hardness at their address; a definition of the water hardness levels; and some potential solutions to alleviate any problems they may have.

Having ‘hard’ water is generally an issue associated with the East of England, although there are isolated pockets of hard water all over the country. If they are affected by hard water, homeowners can invest in a water filter system that reduces scale or look into the installation of a domestic water softener, which connects directly to a mains water supply and removes hard water minerals to alleviate some of the issues.

The Managing Director of Aqua Cure David Parkes commented on the newly launched postcode checker:

“We wanted to create something useful for people to gain relevant information about their home. We have vast knowledge of the water industry and we wanted to pass on our experience in an easy to use, simple way”.
