Yorkshire Packaging Systems Ltd, the UK’s leading supplier of shrink wrapping equipment, are delighted to announce their installation of an inline sleeve wrapper and shrink tunnel into the Lichfield-based factory of Autosmart International Ltd.

Many of Autosmart’s products are aerosols, which are shrink wrapped for transit purposes. When the company’s existing line became too unreliable for production demands, the decision was made to invest in new equipment. The nature of the product necessitated some very specific features be incorporated into the machinery to comply with BAMA regulations for aerosol specifications. With years of experience shrink wrapping aerosol products, Yorkshire Packaging Systems were the ideal supplier.
The equipment provided to Autosmart International was an inline sleeve wrapper and tunnel, specially modified with pneumatic air motor in case of power cuts, counting in and counting out system to ensure all products are always evacuated from the tunnel and a back up sensor at the tunnel exit. Furthermore, there were some constraints with the warehouse layout so YPS shortened the whole line to fit the required footprint and accommodated the existing CO2 flooding system that Autosmart already had in place.
Since the installation earlier this year, the cleaning product specialists have now achieved complete peace of mind for their packaging operation due to the reliability afforded by the new shrink wrapping line.
