AWB Charlesworth Solicitors are delighted to be shortlisted for the Law Firm of the Year at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2016

Keighley, Skipton, Bradford and Bingley based law firm AWB Charlesworth LLP have had an ambitious and successful 2016. The Firm’s commercial team continues to grow with the development of the Bradford office which offers business law, employment law, commercial property, commercial litigation and private client services for business owners. The continued growth of the well-established Skipton and Keighley offices, coupled with the merger in April with Bingley-based Worger Howcroft solicitors has seen the expansion of the practice this year to over sixty staff serving business and private clients across four offices.

As a Firm they have been extremely active in promoting and supporting local business communities. The Firm’s successful Women@Work networking group, co-hosted with Natwest, has welcomed over one hundred guests at the quarterly events so far this year with a further sixty guests already booked in for the December event. The Partners and the Practice Manager are involved in the Skipton Chamber of Trade, the Keighley BID committee and the working party for the Skipton Business Awards 2017.

In addition to this, charitable initiatives have included a French-themed evening; a Dragon Boat race; a charity golf day and a firm-wide Bake-Off. Proceeds from these events have been donated to Martin House Hospice and the Firm hopes to exceed last year’s donations of £8,500. Partner Liam O’Neill serves on the Manorlands Challenge committee and the Firm supports events throughout the year for Manorlands too. Local sponsorship is important to the Firm and this year they have supported a variety of sporting and community initiatives.

During October, the Wills, Trusts and Probate team will be providing information at Skipton’s Dyneley House Surgery to those in the local community who are experiencing bereavement or simply need to know more about practical arrangements when someone dies. Partners and solicitors from the Property, Family and Private Client teams will be available to provide advice at the forthcoming Ermysteds and Skipton Girls High Schools’ Career fair.

AWB Charlesworth Solicitors are delighted to have been shortlisted from over 50 firms in the area to just 5, for the Law Firm of the Year (1-10 Partners Category) at the Yorkshire Legal Awards this month. Practice Manager, Felicity Green said of the achievement “It is wonderful for the Firm to be shortlisted in the Yorkshire Legal Awards. First and foremost we work hard to provide expert legal advice tailored specifically to our clients’ needs. We also want this business to make a positive contribution to the local community. All the staff here at AWBC can be really proud of their part in making the Firm stand out to be shortlisted for this Award.”
