Housebuilder Bellway has partnered with Light Up Greasby to help deliver a bigger and better Christmas Lights display in the village.

By donating £350, the Light Up Greasby committee will be able to introduce a brand new area of Christmas lights to be in place ready for the switch on event in 2022.

The new display will create a sparkling entrance to the village from Arrowe Road, a goal the Light Up Greasby committee have wanted to fulfil for a while. It will include a series of stunning lamp post lights which will ultimately spread the festivities to an area of the village that is usually left untouched.

With Bellway’s Arrowe Brook Park located less than a mile away from the village, supporting this local community initiative was a natural choice for the housebuilder, and the perfect Christmas present for Light Up Greasby.

Nicki Farrington, part of the Light Up Greasby committee, comments: “We really wanted to expand our Christmas lights, introducing a new display in the village, and Bellway’s kind monetary donation will help us deliver that goal in 2022.

“The entrance to the village from Arrowe Road, just a short distance from Bellway’s development, is usually left out of the Christmas lights display and every year misses out on the magic of Christmas. But not next year! We are very grateful to Bellway for supporting our community and are already very excited for the Christmas Lights Switch On event next year!”

Jenny Bell, Sales Director at Bellway North West, adds: “We often support local community organisations, groups and charities in areas where we build and being able to help Light Up Greasby achieve its goal of improving the Christmas lights in the village was an absolute pleasure.

“It is great that the local community are committed to continually improving village events and the new Christmas lights will be a lovely addition in 2022, spreading festive love and cheer to everyone arriving in the village from Arrowe Road.”

The Light Up Greasby committee includes: Jon Newton, Mike and Sue Sercome, Barry McDonald, Nicki Farrington, Sarah Birss and Amy Dinsdale.

Bellway currently has a selection of stylish three and four bedroom homes available at Arrowe Brook Park, incorporating a mix of semi-detached and detached properties.
