Bellway picks Prestwich charity for latest donation

Bellway sales advisor Gill with Lucy Edwards from The Fed

With a development located in Prestwich, leading housebuilder Bellway wanted to give back to the local community, lending its support to a local charity.

The Fed is the leading social care charity for the Greater Manchester Jewish community, providing support and advice to all ages (2,426 annual enquiries), communal activities for adults and children (2,161 attendees) as well as helping individuals find their voice and look for work.

Bellway donated £200 to The Fed to help launch its new community café sessions and support the 480 volunteers working for charity at any one time.

Lucy Edwards, Trusts, Foundations & Bids Fundraiser at The Fed, comments: “We were delighted to hear from Bellway and are grateful for their donation. The community café sessions have been delayed several times due to continuing Covid cases, so it’s great to be able to be able to finally launch these small events. Support from local businesses remains hugely important and we’d like to thank Bellway for choosing to support The Fed.”

Hollie Reynolds, Sales Director at Bellway Manchester, adds: “A member of the Bellway team selected The Fed as a superb local charity to support and we are thrilled our donation will be put to good use within the Jewish community. With a development of three and four bedroom homes currently under construction in Prestwich, giving back to the local community is very important to Bellway and we look forward to hearing more about The Fed and its achievements in the coming months.”
