‘Best ever’ 3D CGI representations’ lead to Elmac brand refresh

The Elmac Technologies ethos is centred on a vision of protection. This guiding principle has defined the company’s corporate values and customer focus throughout its 70 year history. In order to better reflect this ethos, company managing director Lew Bingham contacted leading B2B branding and marketing agency, Armstrong, initially for 3D CGI representations’ of its products, but the quality led to a new website and a brand ‘refresh’.

Elmac Technologies is now firmly established as the world leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of innovative, flame arresters and low pressure tank protection solutions. This position has been achieved through Elmac Technologies’ global reputation for the design, manufacture and supply of process critical safety products. Its innovative equipment ranges are utilised by OEM’s and operators in a wide range of industry sectors including, oil & gas, petrochemicals, bio-fuels, mining, pharmaceuticals, power generation, agrochemicals and distilleries.

The company’s very ethos is centred on a vision and corporate values with the core purpose of protection: protecting people, property and planet. This guiding principle has defined its innovative R&D, efficient operations and world-class customer service throughout its 70 year history. Located in the UK, with state of the art design, manufacturing, testing and commercial facilities, Elmac required a new solution of how to convey the effectiveness of its protection focused products. To this end managing director, Lew Bingham, approached Chester based B2B branding and marketing agency, Armstrong.

“Elmac first approached us to come up with a new and dynamic approach to 3D CGI representations’ of its flame arrestors. Lew Bingham thought they were the best he’d ever seen. This led Armstrong to be retained to undertake other work on behalf of the company,” says Armstrong director, Daniel Owen.

The success of the representations’ has seen Amstrong retained on more projects on behalf of Elmac Technologies. “We’ve now created a series of animations for each industrial sector Elmac works in. This includes bio-gas, petro chemicals, oil, gas and other sectors where its products for pressure and equipment protection operate.”

In addition to the above, Armstrong has now undertaken a brand ‘refresh’ as well as developed, designed and constructed a new website. “Our brand needed some freshening up, and we listened to the feedback of our loyal customers for a user friendly, clear website. We expect the new site to become a useful marketing tool, not only promoting our advanced process safety solutions, but also making it easier for our agents and end users to download technical specification sheets, and get in touch with us. We are very pleased with its design and layout, and look forward to an increased number of site visits and online enquiries,” says Lew Bingham, managing director, Elmac Technologies.

A close bond has now developed between Elmac and Armstrong. “As the relationship has developed, and based on Elmac Technologies being delighted with the work we have done, this has directly led to us now undertaking monthly communications work on their behalf, including e-shots and providing exhibition support,” so concluded Daniel Owen.
