Beyond Professional Services Group revealed as principal sponsor of the Seashell Trust 2018 Charity Sportive

Children and young adults with complex learning difficulties are being helped by one of Manchester’s leading corporate law firms with the announcement of its partnership with the Seashell Trust.

Beyond Professional Services Group has signed up as principal sponsor of the 2018 Seashell Trust charity sportive, which takes place on Sunday 16 September this year, and which starts, and finishes, at the charity’s Cheadle Hulme campus.

The Seashell Trust provides education and residential care for some of the country’s most profoundly disabled children and young people who additionally have little or no ability to communicate verbally.
Run entirely by volunteers, every penny raised from the event goes directly to supporting its vital work.

Jim Truscott, partner and joint founder of Beyond, is himself a keen cyclist, as are many of the people within the firm. “That was one reason for our joining forces,” he said, “but more importantly, our two organisations hold similar ideals and outlooks. Our Group’s core values are loyalty, transparency, dynamism and inclusion, going above and beyond what is usually expected from a law firm. The work of the Seashell Trust makes a significant difference to the lives of many children and young adults who face a multitude of challenges in their lives. We hope our sponsorship of this event will be the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership.

We are delighted to be able to invest in our local community in this way.”

Dominic Tinner, Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Community Development for the Seashell Trust added: “We welcome the Beyond Group as our principal sponsor of the Seashell Sportive. We hope this generous act will encourage other companies to get involved too, perhaps sponsoring individual feed stations, donating food and drink to help the cyclists or simply by entering a team.”

Now in its fourth year, this fully-supported event has a choice of four routes, from 30 miles for families and those new to sportives, right up to a 100 mile ride, taking in 10 of the region’s top hill climbs. The ride offers the chance to enjoy the very best of the outstanding Cheshire, Peak District and Staffordshire scenery.

Companies and cycling clubs entering a team of five will receive an additional place free.
