Bolton-based Jack Barmby: Stepping up to the challenge for CEO Sleepout

Bolton-based Jack Barmby, CEO of Gnatta, will be joining other local senior level employees, (from various industries) on the 16th October, in giving up his bed for one night to help those that don’t have one. All participants of CEO Sleepout have been asked to lead by example; they’ll be braving the cold and sleeping outdoors to raise awareness and aid for homeless funds in Greater Manchester.

CEO Sleepout is a charity set up to fight homelessness and poverty in the U.K, including in and around the north west. Their cause is funded solely by local executives who sleep outdoors for one night, raising sponsorship from their business contacts and friends in the process.

Jack, who founded the Bury-based business Gnatta at the age of 21 whilst studying at university, hopes that he will raise over £1,000 for the homeless in Manchester with the support of his colleagues, family, friends, and the local community.

“CEO Sleepout is going to be incredibly tough; sleeping rough in Manchester will really drive home the reality that people face on a daily basis. As someone fortunate enough to have a steady income, it’s important that I help raise awareness of a key problem in our area. Manchester Evening News have been doing some incredible work highlighting the problem and I hope I can help in my own, small way.” – Jack Barmby
