Having secured almost 18,000 sq ft of lettings since its acquisition of the Boat Shed in Salford Quays, award winning regeneration company Urban Splash has announced plans to invest £820,000 in refurbishing a further 14,000 sq ft of workspace at the building – bringing more well-designed space to the North West market.
Urban Splash acquired the 40,000 sq ft. building in late 2016, in a deal that took just five working days to complete. Since then, it has reinvented this ’90’s building including a striking new exterior.
In the past quarter, the company’s efforts have attracted occupiers including Hat Trick PR, Novo Innovations and Capital Growth Group Ltd who have taken a collective 8,521 sq ft at the scheme.

Urban Splash has also reinvented the internal workspaces and public realm areas immediately outside of Boat Shed; the company also recently secured a letting to award winning coffee house Lupo, providing occupiers with an on-site ‘caffe Italiano’ serving breakfast, lunch and ‘pasticerria’.
