Cascade to focus on the future of work at CIPD’s Annual Conference & Exhibition 2018

The future of work will be the core theme for leading human resources and payroll software provider Cascade HR, at the CIPD’s Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE) 2018.

Aiming to empower as many delegates as possible – whether they work for an organisation that employs two or 10,000 staff – the team will be providing tailored one-to-one demonstrations of their award-winning technology, at two key locations within Manchester Central.

On its largest stand (G60), Cascade will allow delegates to explore its fully-integrated, GDPR-compliant HR and payroll software. Absence management, Gender Pay Gap Reporting, people analytics, expenses management and resource-efficient recruitment proved the hottest topics at the HR Software Show in June, so there will be 4 private demo pods available for visitors to explore the technology first-hand.

Over on the CascadeGo stand (F54), delegates from smaller organisations will be able to see how – as with the larger product in Cascade’s suite – they can reduce admin, streamline processes, improve best practice and free up time to complete more value-adding HR activities.

In the exhibition’s Technology & Innovation theatre, Cascade’s software specialist Marc Greggains will open day one of the seminar programme. His 30-minute session – How every HR team can use artificial intelligence – is designed to cut through the AI hype and provide practical, simple steps that Human Resources professionals can action, irrespective of the size of their organisation or budgets.

Marc explains: “Artificial Intelligence is currently one of the industry’s hottest topics, which has created intrigue but at the same time left HR departments wondering how on earth it applies to them.

“But AI needn’t be shrouded in such mystery. So, I’m going to take delegates on a straight-talking journey to harness the benefits of things like automation, predictive analytics and workforce planning, with the HR software they use on a daily basis.”

Showcasing practical examples such as absence management, Marc’s 10:15-10:45 presentation will elaborate on the use of technology to improve tricky and costly HR problems. Given the fear that AI, automation and technology risks creating a somewhat faceless HR industry, he will also elaborate on how to ensure artificial intelligence doesn’t remove the ‘human’ from ‘human resources’.

ACE 2018 takes place on 7-8 November. Entry to the exhibition is free but pre-registration is advised.
