Chemical group acquires Alutech to expand specialist offering

A leading West Yorkshire chemical group has purchased a metal surface treatment company as it continues to develop its specialist chemical offering and portfolio of expertise.

Airedale Chemical Holdings Group has acquired Alutech which provides a range of metal treatment solutions including aluminium brighteners and pre-treatment cleaners.

Airedale Chemical Holdings Group, which incorporates Airedale Chemical, the chemical manufacturers and distribution specialists; Airedale Solutions, which provides small pack chemical filling and fulfilment; and food and beverage ingredient distributors, Rigest; has confirmed the deal with Alutech which sees it take ownership of the metal treatment chemical company.

We are building a portfolio of companies which have their own specialisms but which complement each other and the group’s offering. Purchasing Alutech has been an important step in diversifying into fresh markets, acquiring new technologies and increasing our order books with additional revenue.

Alutech specialises in a wide range of metal treatment chemical solutions covering pre-treatment, brightening, etching and passivation agents.

Airedale Chemical is family run business based in Cross Hills since 1994, providing chemicals and contract manufacturing to markets including manufacturing, dairy, recycling and waste management.
