Brian Ricketts, partner at Hitchcock Wright & Partners, has won this year’s Merseyside Dealmaker Award as part of the Estates Gazette Awards.
Brian has been at Hitchcock Wright & Partners for 20 years and specialises in development, investment, valuation, lease renewal and rent reviews.
Speaking about the honour, Brian said: “I am absolutely thrilled be awarded Merseyside Dealmaker 2019.
“The Liverpool market in general has shown a resilience to the wider macro-economic uncertainty surrounding Brexit. Despite a shortage of good quality office stock coupled with a slow start to the first quarter of the year in terms of take up, momentum has now started to build and there have been a number of sizeable deals which will add another 100,000 sq ft in the next few weeks to these figures.
“We are hopeful that this will surpass the record year of 2018 where take up exceeded 425,000sq ft. Rental and capital values continue to strengthen which will create a more robust market and encourage inward investment and the prospect of development activity and an appetite for developers to build much needed Grade A new build stock”
