Burnetts’ Commercial Property team continues to expand with the appointment of Ben Crystal as a Solicitor in the team, the recruitment of three paralegals, Dan Warwick, Lorraine Harrison Rogers and Jessica Quigley, and more appointments to come in the months ahead.

The latest expansion follows the appointments of Robbie Mather and Helen Hayward as Heads of Commercial Property as part of an overall re-structure of the Cumbria law firm’s property division.

“The Commercial Property team continues to undertake high quality work in Cumbria and further afield,” says Robbie Mather. “We have a higher than ever retention rate as well as consistently attracting new clients to the firm. On the back of that growth, we’re able to recruit and build the team.”

Ben Crystal grew up in Carlisle and joined Burnetts from Bell Park Kerridge Solicitors. His expertise covers various aspects of commercial property, particularly advising on commercial leases and working with regional housebuilders on the set-up of large residential developments and the sale of new build homes. Outside of work, he plays guitar, is part of a 5-a-side football team and, making the most of where he lives, enjoys walking in the Lake District fells.

“It’s a great time to join Burnetts,” says Ben. “There is so much interesting and good work to be involved in and the new office is the perfect workspace for the team as it means we can make the most of the breadth of experience. I am really looking forward to my future here.”

“There’s a fantastic buzz in the team and it’s an exciting time for us,” says Helen Hayward. “Ben and the other new team members are adding to a brilliant mix of backgrounds and expertise in all aspects of commercial property. It should give our clients real confidence that they have the right people looking after them, at every stage of their matter.”
