Dales Inn Continues With Its Winning Ways

Black Bull, Sedbergh

Sedbergh’s Black Bull Inn, is continuing with its winning ways collecting a coveted Good Food Gastro Pub Award for 2020.

Formed in 2002, the Good Food Awards were founded on independence and integrity and formed with one overriding ambition to co-ordinate awards across the catering industry.

Each year Pubs and Inns up and down the country who win one of these coveted awards are assessed against a stringent set of criteria taking into account levels of food quality and consistency, guest satisfaction, customer service and food hygiene.

Each and every property features purely on merit and must earn their place every year by maintaining the same high standards to be able to win a Good Food Gastro Pub Award, which means there are always deletions and new entries each year.

Over the last twelve months the Good Food Gastro Pub Awards team have evaluated the Black Bull and as a result have awarded the Inn with a Good Food Gastro Pub Award 2020.

The judges commented: ‘’The Black Bull’s dining room is very much focused on serving an array of delicious dishes crafted from the freshest possible produce available from the surrounding landscape whilst demonstrating exceptional levels of food quality, service and value when compared to industry benchmarks in their category.’’

The Black Bull’s co-owner James Ratcliffe said: ‘’We are so thrilled to have won this award, it recognises all of the hard work we as a team put into delivering consistent first-class service for our diners each and every day. We are lucky to have a hugely dedicated team and awards like this are a deserved pat on the back, helping to recognising the consistent levels of service we deliver and the quality of the food and drink we serve our guests every day.’’
