David Wilson Homes’ The Chocolate Works development has donated a TV and festive hamper to residents at The Chocolate Works Care Village in York, located close to its award-winning development, built on the iconic Terry’s chocolate factory site.
To encourage a sense of community and togetherness throughout the festive season, the five-star housebuilder has donated a TV to the residents and key workers at The Chocolate Works Care Village, so that they can enjoy nostalgic films and get comfy in front of a big screen during the colder winter months.
Alongside the TV donation, David Wilson Homes has delivered a hamper filled with movie-night goodies as a treat for the residents and a special thank you to the key workers for their continued hard work, especially during the various lockdowns, where they have provided such an important support network to residents who weren’t able to see their families.
Like many care facilities across the country, The Chocolate Works Care Village has adapted in recent times to support and reassure its residents throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and various lockdowns to provide a safe and controlled space for the most vulnerable people in York’s community.
