Sarah Appleton, branch manager of Drivers Direct in Preston, has won a trip to New York at the company’s annual charity black tie ball in London. The award was given after the branch was named the most successful of the company’s 22 offices across the UK.
The event also raised £2,000 for the NSPCC, the UK’s leading charity working to protect children from abuse. Each year the company nominates a charity to raise donations for throughout the year with a variety of fundraising efforts.
Drivers Direct run the annual competition across all of its branches, with several prizes awarded across the business for various achievements. The Preston branch has won the top prize of a long weekend in New York, which was announced at the company’s annual charity black tie dinner in London, after the branch was named as the top performer in the UK.
Gethin Roberts, owner and Managing Director of the company, comments: “The success of our company would not be possible without all of our employees. It is important that our staff’s hard work is rewarded, and that they know how much it is appreciated. Sarah’s dedication to Drivers Direct and Preston this year means that she’s earned herself a luxury break, and we hope she enjoys New York!”
