Suites Hotel & Spa is preparing to host its Macmillan Coffee Morning in collaboration with fellow local business Joe Black Coffee.
Taking place between 10.30am and 2pm on Tuesday, September 24 the coffee morning will give businesses the chance to mingle and connect whilst raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, which provides physical, financial and emotional support to those affected by cancer.
Managing Director of Suites Hotel & Spa Lyndsay Stanistreet-Tyer said: “We are always keen to get involved with fundraising activities within our community and what better way to get the region’s businesses together than with a Macmillan Coffee Morning. To put on the event, we’re delighted to have teamed up with local supplier Joe Black Coffee, who will also assist us in providing refreshments during the fundraiser. We’ve been working with them for three years now and this is a great opportunity for us to collaborate outside of our usual remit.
“It’s a campaign that’s very personal to both myself and managing director of Joe Black Coffee Jackie Knox, and one that’s near to our hearts having lost close family members to cancer. Together, our teams are hoping to raise £1,000 on the day that will help to provide vital support for those that really need it, with cancer affecting one in two people in the UK.”
As part of the Macmillan Coffee Morning, Suites Hotel & Spa will provide a choice of freshly made cakes courtesy of Bidfood and there will also be an opportunity for guests to participate in a raffle with tea and coffee hampers up for grabs alongside Elemis products and more.
Lyndsay added: “We’re extending our invitation to businesses from across the region to come and join us for a chance to connect with one another and do their bit for a fantastic cause.”
