East Yorkshire business continues European expansion with new appointment in Germany

ProGARM is leading the way as the UK’s number one supplier of protective Arc Flash garments

ProGARM, an innovative local business, which is leading the way as the UK’s number one supplier of protective Arc Flash garments, has boosted its expansion into the European market with its recent appointment of Dietmar Rohrbach as Business Development Manager in Germany.

Based in Gilberdyke, near Hull, the family-owned business has appointed Rohrbach as part of its mission to increase global awareness around the life changing dangers of Arc Flash – a relatively misunderstood, but extremely common type of electrical explosion facing sectors from industrial electrical, to utilities, civil engineering and rail.

Having previously worked for Ten Cate, a supplier of protective clothing for people and their living and working environments, for more than 16 years, Rohrbach brings an in-depth knowledge of PPE to the role and will be responsible for helping ProGARM expand into new markets in Germany.

Jarl Coldrick, International Sales Manager at ProGARM, said: “This is a really exciting time for ProGARM. The company is seeing significant growth currently, driven in part by the recent launch of a wide range of innovative new PPE products – everything from socks to belts. It’s great to have Dietmar on board to help us continue this progress throughout Europe.

“Arc Flash is a very real health and safety issue impacting workers in industrial sectors globally. As a result of this, we’re committed to building a dynamic, international team to be help us to protect more and more employees with our specialist clothing.”

The brand supplies clothing to contractors across the globe in industries such as petrochemical, utilities and power generation, rail and industrial electrical. These garments help to protect against the life changing injuries and potential fatal consequences posed by an Arc Flash – a type of electrical explosion that can be hotter than the sun and louder than a gunshot.
