Ecommerce agency creates North East tech jobs following office expansion

An ecommerce agency headquartered in central Middlesbrough is set to recruit for a number of web development and client services roles following the acquisition of additional office space.

Today Techquity has launched the agency’s largest recruitment drive to date since the business’s inception in 2017, with five new vacancies across web development, project management and client services.

The agency has announced the roles they are looking to hire include; front-end-developer, back-end-developer, lead developer, project manager and client account manager; to bolster its existing team and support its growing portfolio of ambitious online retailers. The recruitment drive follows the recent expansion of the teams existing office space, within the Grade 2 listed building, Commerce House, in central Middlesbrough. Techquity now occupies the entire third floor of the office space, equipped with its own kitchen and lounge area for staff to enjoy and break out from the working day.

Matt Burton, Techquity CEO said:
“It’s an exciting time in Techquity’s journey and ecommerce as a whole, and we’re thrilled to be in a position to create jobs in Teesside’s digital sector and significantly add to our team. Our new roles will be instrumental in the delivery and ongoing support of our clients retail websites, and I’m looking forward to welcoming new talent in the coming weeks.”

Techquity’s current client portfolio includes retailers from all sectors; Psyche fashion, Beanies coffee, Moshulu footwear, Plumit bathrooms and DriveDen automotive to name a few.
