Electrical engineering firm LCA Group boosts team with key appointments

(L - R) Sarah Mazzarella and Warren Bekker join LCA Group.

Award-winning electrical engineering firm, LCA Group, has announced two new senior appointments to strengthen its Hawarden-based team.

Following a series of major investments in cutting-edge innovation in 2018, which saw it relocate to a new three million-pound state-of-the-art facility in Hawarden, North Wales, the group has welcomed Sarah Mazzarella as HR Manager, and Warren Bekker as Procurement Manager.

Sarah Mazzarella joins the team as HR Manager with over twenty years’ experience. Much of her career has been spent within the North West and North Wales, where she has worked at several large blue-chip organisations.

Joining Sarah is Warren Bekker, an experienced Procurement Manager who has worked across international markets in similar roles. As a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, Warren also brings a wealth of organizational best practice to aid the firm’s growth plans.

“We’re delighted to welcome Warren and Sarah to the team and they both come with a wealth of experience and skills to support our evolving and growing business,” said LCA Group Operations Director, Paul Griffiths.

“We’re seeing increasing demand from our clients across the UK and beyond, we’ve expanded our customer base and have several key projects in the pipeline. Our workforce is vital to us, with each and every one of them instrumental in helping us to deliver on our ambitious growth plans.”

In early 2018, LCA Group invested in a bespoke three-million-pound state of the art manufacturing facility in Hawarden, as well as purchasing a brand new Rittal Automation Systems 3D laser machine – the only one in the UK and one of only seven in the world – which dramatically boosted production of their leading stainless-steel control panels.

This, paired with additional spend on new 3D modelling and computer-aided design (CAD) capabilities, has driven substantial business growth for the firm and transformed the manufacturing operation for LCA Group’s global customers.

Since opening the new facility, the firm has made several new key hires including a project manager, a senior quantity surveyor, a new finance team member, as well as multiple support staff and manufacturing technicians.

“It’s been an incredibly exciting time for our business since making the decision to invest in innovation for now and for the future. Those investments weren’t just in the state-of-the-art facility and machinery, it was also in our people,” continued Paul.

“We now have dedicated specialists in all areas of the business, with our latest new hires being the final piece in the puzzle. We’re set for further growth and are aiming to continue to exceed current clients’ expectations as well as delighting new clients with the high-level of quality and service we’re famous for.”
