Elementar UK to Host Free Technical Seminars in Manchester in September 2017

Elementar UK, the market leading supplier of elemental analysis (EA), total organic carbon (TOC) and isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) instrumentation, is hosting a free seminar at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Manchester, UK on the 5th and 6th of September 2017.

The event is free to attend and is set to include application presentations, informal breakout sessions and technical seminars from application and product experts from Elementar UK. The seminar also includes free lunch and refreshments, and an evening social event.

Elementar UK is hosting the seminar to introduce these powerful techniques to scientists that may not be aware of the research possibilities they present. Experienced users are also invited to hear more about best practice for optimising instrument performance, improving data quality and maximizing instrument lifetime. The event is ideal for anyone who uses, or intends to use, any brand of EA, TOC and IRMS instrumentation.

Mike Seed, Sales and Product Manager of Elementar UK, said: “IRMS, EA and TOC applications are really diverse in their nature which is what makes them so fascinating. Our previous meetings have brought together academics and students across a broad spectrum of sciences and have been a great opportunity for them to hear how these techniques are applied to research questions they may not be familiar with. We believe this seminar in our home city of Manchester is an opportunity for scientists to reach across their own research horizons and to learn about our latest innovative products which may help them expand their capabilities.”

Mr Seed added: “The seminar will have a relaxed and informal atmosphere and we would welcome any attendees to present their research with an oral presentation. These meetings provide a great opportunity for trialling new presentation ideas or to give students an opportunity to build confidence ahead of an academic meeting.”

The seminar will be organised into several sessions on the 5th and 6th of September. The IRMS sessions will run from 9:00 – 17:00 on both days. The EA and TOC seminars will be split into two separate events on the 5th of September. The TOC session will run from 10:00 – 13:00 and the EA session will run from 14:00 – 17:00. Delegates are free to attend any session they wish.
