Essential law update comes to the North West

CIM is inviting North West businesses to attend a full day workshop which will give them the essential information on the law for marketers in Haydock on 12 October.

Diane Earles, Network Manager at CIM, said, “This workshop will ensure you are up-to-date with current marketing law.” She continued, “Regardless of Brexit, sweeping changes to Data Protection Law are on the horizon and you and your clients only have until May 2018 to prepare for them. This update will demystify many of the myths around how to become more compliant with the new regime and provide you with practical advice on how to get the best value out of marketing databases. Over and above GDPR this session will also bring you up to date with recent changes in Marketing and Advertising Law pre- and post-Brexit, including in relation to Social Media.”

The workshop will be led by Steve Kuncewicz, who is a principal lawyer in the business advisory team at Slater and Gordon Lawyers in Manchester. He specialises in intellectual property, media and social media law with a particular emphasis on the creative, digital and technology sector and has worked with CIM for many years.

The event will be held at Ibis Style Haydock and is open to CIM members and non-members. It is part of a series of one day events, kindly sponsored by The Candidate, being held in Haydock that week, which includes an Digital in a day and Growth hacking to increase sales.
