Established photographer opens new lakeside studio in Lancashire

A family photographer has opened her new studio in a stunning lakeside location, after relocating to the area earlier this year.

Laura Louise Cream, who runs LLCreamPhotography, has relocated to Borwick in Lancashire from her native Peterborough, where she ran a well-established studio.

Laura’s services include a ‘Cake Smash’ and ‘Strawberry Splash’. She said: “The cake smashes are huge in the US and popular down south, I’m really keen to spread the word about them in the area I now call home.

“A cake smash is where your little one celebrates their 1st birthday by getting messy with a personalised cake, and I capture the moments, which are always colourful and adorable. A strawberry splash is similar, except they’re in a bath filled with strawberries. I also like to start these sessions with ‘normal’ photos first to get them used to the studio and me before we dive into it.

“These are both popular options for parents because they’re something a little different from the usual portrait shots which can often seem posed. These sessions are really relaxed, bright and full of smiles.”

In a new lakeside location, Laura has swapped her city centre studio for a picturesque setting that is already proving popular with customers.

Laura said: “The studio offers the perfect backdrop. It’s an exciting time for me – I’m a photographer new to the area, with a new studio – it’s a new beginning. I’m really enjoying it so far, everyone’s lovely and it’s a nice pace of life here.”

She added: “They say never work with children & animals, but I love it. Its sometimes a challenge with some who arrive not as keen to have their photographs taken, but I’ve been a professional photographer working with little ones for over nine years now, so I’ve learnt lots of tricks to get them to feel at ease and smile naturally, which is rewarding for me and both a surprise and a relief for the parents!”
