Generous staff and visitors to Middlesbrough’s Live Well Centre have raised £550 on Superhero Day for the TFM Cash for Kids appeal.

Cash was collected at stalls selling cakes and tickets to win a prize in the tombola. A drive in a go-cart raised 50p per spin and TFM staff were present with donation buckets.

Throughout, the station’s mobile DJ Kenny provided a suitable soundtrack for the fund-raising activities and the day ended with a flash mob dance organised by a local Dance group “All in Youth”.

There were also opportunities for visitors to see the range of services provided by The Live Well Centre, which is based in the Dundas Centre, and offers a wide range of support services to people in Middlesbrough who want to lead healthier and happier lives.

The manager of Dundas Indoor Market David Harris, who helped organise the event, said: “Congratulations must go to the Live Well Centre team for pulling an event like this together so quickly. Everybody was a Superhero. We would like to thank everyone who helped raise such a fantastic amount of money for such a great charity in such a short time.”

Cash for Kids is changing the lives of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire.
