Newcastle-based search marketing specialist agency, Evolved Search, has announced it has added Andrew Dipper to its senior team as Head of Digital PR.
The firm, which recently won the Silver award in the Best Large SEO Agency category at the UK Search Awards, works with clients such as Select Car Leasing, tombola, Mattress Online and Vertu Motors to drive organic search performance, delivering outstanding technical expertise, content marketing, paid marketing and Digital PR services.
The newly-created Head of Digital PR role will add further strategic focus to the Digital PR offering and help the agency as it strives to grow in line with ambitious plans that were announced by the agency in 2019.
Andrew joins Evolved Search with over 10 years of experience gained in agencies, in-house and as a freelancer, with four-and-a-half years in his previous role of Head of Global Digital Marketing at Tenth Revolution Group, overseeing the 11 brands within the group, including Frank Recruitment, and managing a team of 15. He also holds a Master’s degree in Multimedia Journalism and is Google, Hubspot and Salesforce accredited.
Speaking of his new appointment, Andrew stated: “After meeting the directors of the business I was blown away by the growth plans they have in place for the agency. Speaking to Tom, Ian and David, it was clear that we have a shared ambition, which is for Evolved Search to become the leading SEO and Digital PR agency in the UK. It’s great to be joining them on their mission.
“I was also really impressed by how far Evolved goes for their employees, particularly during these challenging times. The perks and benefits are second-to-none, and speaking to some of the team prior to joining they said it’s the best company they’ve ever worked for. That’s high praise and a great advert for the culture.”
Dipper’s appointment is in addition to two new recruits in the team. Digital PR Consultant, Hayley Reynolds, joins Evolved Search after four years at another local digital agency, along with Ellie Morgan as a Digital PR Executive, who has just successfully completed her Level 3 Digital Marketing apprenticeship with Distinction with her previous agency.
Tom Etherington, Operations Director at Evolved Search, added: “The competition for the Head of Digital PR role was really tough, but Andrew’s obvious skills, a decade of experience and natural leadership shone through during the process. I’m delighted he’s joining during what is an exciting time for Evolved Search, despite the unchartered waters all businesses are navigating due to the pandemic.
“Andrew has outlined some impressive plans for the department and has our full support in rolling them out to build on the successes to date and result in a stronger and more skilful Digital PR offering that really sets us apart in the industry.”
The agency is experiencing strong growth and is on track for £4 million turnover this financial year. They are set to welcome a number of new faces over the coming months and are currently looking to fill a Head of SEO & Content Marketing position, following a restructure of departments.
