Expanding Cheshire Gift and Homewares Brand Sets Up Shop in Bolton’s Market Place

Gift + Home, a well-established brand on the high streets of Hale and Altrincham, has decided to bring its luxury range of contemporary gifts and home décor items to Market Place.

Attracted by the centre’s new Project KISS initiative, which helps independent businesses to easily and affordably achieve a bricks and mortar presence in the town centre, Gift + Home sells unique and personalised gifts, cards and homewares.

Established in 2014 in Hale by owner, Louise Duerr, the opening on the upper mall coincides with the launch of the brand’s online shop.

Says store owner, Louise Duerr: “Bolton is a fantastic location for us, being so close to Manchester and providing a quality shopping experience, yet without the same traffic and parking issues.

“We stock a fabulous range of contemporary, stylish and quirky gifts, cards and homewares and literally have something for everyone – from hard to buy for men to babies and everyone in between – including the dog! From November we will also have a fantastic Christmas collection, including wonderful decorations to make your festive home super stylish.

“To celebrate our new opening, we’re offering shoppers a free Bolton shopping tote bag or mug when they spend over £35.”

Manager of Market Place, Nikki Wilson-Cook, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Gift + Home to Market Place. They offer something truly different and the timing couldn’t be better with Christmas on the way. Our Project KISS unit has been launched to help independent retailers to make their mark in the area without the usual overheads. It’s an exciting concept and we wish Gift + Home a successful period of trade at our centre.”

In the run up to Christmas, Market Place has a calendar of events planned to entice shoppers, including the new ‘Eat Street’ artisan food festival on the last Friday and Saturday of each month, weekly Wednesday activities for senior citizens, a Halloween event on Saturday 26th October and on 21st November, the Christmas lights switch on, which marks the start of late night Thursday shopping.
