Further expansion for North East PR firm Publicity Seekers

North East public relations agency Publicity Seekers has celebrated further growth after expanding its workforce and moving to bigger premises.

The company, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, has welcomed Michael Lamb as Business Development Director and Alice Midgley as PR Assistant.

On top of this the business has moved to a new 856sq ft office, with further recruitments expected in the coming months.

Michael recently returned to the North East after spending the last 12 years working with some of the leading tech brands in London, including Microsoft, Sony and Canon.

He said: “My appointment at Publicity Seekers is a fantastic opportunity at just the right time. Businesses of all sizes across the North East have begun to see the potential of marketing, social media and PR to help drive sales. The challenge however, is getting them all working together to achieve the right results, without breaking bank.”

“Beyond that, the innovation up here really excites me. There are so many talented people working at companies who’re leading and disrupting markets at home and abroad. I’ve always been proud of my home’s strong industrial heritage and I plan on using my position to build upon the history of this great region.

“I truly believe if we come together as a region we can achieve great things. In order to support our communities and strengthen our businesses, we need vocal business leaders who are willing to step forward and tell the rest of the country and the world how great their businesses are.”

Alice, who joins the company after recently graduating from her MA in Public Relations at the University of Sunderland, said: “It’s brilliant to begin working for a business that is passionate about supporting the growth of companies and organisations in the Tees Valley.

“To be appointed into a role with Publicity Seekers is a privilege, especially in a time when North East graduates are finding it increasingly difficult to enter into roles in their chosen field.”

Michael and Alice will primarily be working on the PR agency’s newly developed communications audit, an innovative project that aims to help businesses uncover client insights, provide competitor analysis and identify current industry issues.

Samantha Lee, Managing Director of Publicity Seekers said: ““Bringing in a mixture of experience and new blood is of paramount importance. I like to use the analogy of a football team. There is a need for experienced players, to lead from the front and influence the younger future stars who can bring something new and exciting to the team.

“With these new appointments I believe Publicity Seekers can make a real difference in helping the North East to thrive.”
