Experienced Estate Agent Moves To Guiseley

An experienced property professional has been appointed to manage the Guiseley office of leading Yorkshire estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley.

Michael Leighton joined the firm in 2014 to manage the Keighley office after spending more than 10 years working for other Yorkshire estate agents. In 2017 the office was crowned gold winners by the British Property Awards and voted the best estate agency in the town by All Agents. Michael also holds several industry qualifications including a diploma in surveying practice and an honours degree in building surveying.

In his new role, he will head up the Guiseley office’s five-strong team who work across Dacre, Son & Hartley’s sales and lettings divisions. The office markets a vast range of homes, from smart apartments to large family homes and farmhouses, throughout Guiseley and its surrounding towns and villages including, Cartlon, Hawksworth, Esholt, Rawdon, Yeadon and Apperley Bridge.

Michael says: “The Guiseley office is thriving and it has a large catchment area, which incorporates several sought after and bustling towns, as well as a number of more rural villages. Guiseley’s rail links, popular schools, the huge number of leading retailers that are continually attracted to the town, as well as its proximity to the airport, means it will always be popular with homebuyers.

“This is certainly the case at the moment, with buyer demand currently outstripping supply. We have a wide range of active buyers, including a high number of families registered with us, who are currently waiting for the right property to hit the market, meaning now is an ideal time for anyone considering selling their home to contact us for a free, no obligation market appraisal.”

Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential sales at Dacre, Son & Hartley, which operates 21 offices across West and North Yorkshire, says: “Michael is a well-respected member of our team and enjoyed a successful track-record in our Keighley office, so we’re delighted to offer him this opportunity to manage the office at Guiseley. It’s a busy branch, at the centre of a thriving market, and there’s no doubt Michael will continue building on its success and take it to the next level.”
