One of the two founding partners of the Leeds based boutique insolvency and litigation law firm Carrick Read Insolvency has joined LCF Law as a partner.
David Barker is a knowledgeable and respected insolvency lawyer and litigator with a high degree of technical expertise.
Managing Partner at LCF Law, Simon Stell, who was recently named as the Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year at the Yorkshire Legal Awards, says: “David has more than 20 years’ experience of dealing with a wide range of insolvency and litigation issues.
“He will provide experienced support to our firm’s disputes and commercial litigation teams, which are headed up by Charles Abraham, and his appointment will also enable us to continue developing and growing this area of our business.”
David first qualified as a Barrister in 1993, before joining Hammond Suddards, where he worked in the dispute resolution and debt recovery team. He then moved to Read Hind Stewart, which became part of Cobbetts, before co-founding Carrick Read Insolvency in Leeds 16 years ago.
David says: “I look forward to continuing to support those clients and professionals with whom I have worked with over the years, and add my experience to the existing talented and well-respected team at LCF Law.”
David will be based at LCF Law’s Leeds office.
