A thriving Tees Valley-based law firm has introduced six new members to its team, driving its plans for future growth.
Punch Robson, which has offices in Ingleby Barwick, Coulby Newham and Middlesbrough, has appointed an associate solicitor, two solicitors, a conveyancing clerk and two trainees to continue to offer expert legal services to clients throughout the region.
Having worked in the Teesside area since 2007 the firm’s new Associate Solicitor Andrew Steel, who is a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly and is STEP (Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners) qualified, is an expert in Private Client law.
Speaking about his new role Andrew said: “Punch Robson is a well-established, traditional firm and I’m really excited to take on this new challenge and be a part of the brilliant and expanding team.
“I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in my area of law and I have numerous contacts in the Teesside area following my previous roles, so I’m looking forward to helping the department, and business, grow.”
Newly qualified Commercial Property Solicitor Chris Cunningham, who studied at Teesside University and completed his LPC (Legal Practice Course) at the University of Law in Leeds, has also joined the Punch Robson team.
Incredibly impressed with the firm’s growth over the recent years, and its dedication to continue to strive, Chris was drawn to the company.

“I aim to strengthen the commercial team by bringing a strong work ethic, good client care skills and a breadth of commercial property knowledge.”
The firm’s Family department has also been boosted with the appointment of Solicitor Josh Butterwick.
Josh completed his training contract at Punch Robson and is thrilled to be staying on at the firm. He said: “After spending some time in the Family department during my two-year training contract, I knew it was the right one for me. I find the variety of cases so interesting and I also enjoy being able to assist vulnerable people within the local area.
“It is an exciting time to be working at Punch Robson and I am looking forward to continuing my development here.”
Boosting Punch Robson’s property services offering, Conveyancing Clerk Neelam Shan has joined the residential team to help meet the demands of the business’ growing client base.
The firm has also welcomed new trainees Isobel Matthews, who studied at Newcastle University and Shannon Cranston, who attended Teesside University.
Isobel and Shannon will spend the next two years with the Punch Robson team, who will help the trainees to enhance their legal knowledge and professional skills.
