Forfusion continues positive momentum with ACES Award win

L-to-R: Tony McNish (Head of Business Development, Tech Data UK), Ian Musgrave (Forfusion CTO), David Griffin (Forfusion COO), Angela Whitty (Cisco UK&I Managing Director) and Rob Price (Cisco UK&I CTO).

Newcastle-based IT strategy company Forfusion has triumphed at this year’s Cisco Momentum ACES Awards, scooping the ‘Innovation Partner of the Year’ gong for 2019.

The awards are a key part of Tech Data’s ACES Momentum programme, which was specially designed to support key Cisco partners in their growth and business transformation ambitions. The programme provides a whole host of business benefits including training, specialist advice and accreditations.

The pinnacle of the programme is the annual awards. Now in their second year, the awards recognise partners that have shown the dedication to growth and development in Cisco’s key focus technology areas; Enterprise Networking, Collaboration, Security and Data Centre.

The ceremony took place last month at the London Marriott Hotel in Regent’s Park.

Recognition in the innovation partner category follows on from Forfusion’s victory at the inaugural ACES award ceremony in 2018, where it was victorious in the ‘Enterprise Networking Partner of the Year’ category.

Ian Musgrave, Chief Technology Officer at Forfusion, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to receive the ACES Award for Innovation Partner, which is the latest piece of great news in what has been a superb year of business growth for Forfusion. Being a key part of the Momentum Programme has been an incredibly positive influence for this growth, allowing us to join in conversations around innovation, collaboration and execution.

‘Our desire is to continue to push the boundaries in terms of what is possible with the new technologies coming out of Cisco. We’re seeing a significant upturn in the appetite for solutions based on platforms such as SD-A and HyperFlex from our customers. ACES success in both the enterprise network and innovation categories over the past 12 months reaffirms the positive impact the programme is having across our business.’

Speaking of the award win Graeme Lee, Cisco Business Development Manager at Tech Data, said: ‘With 33% year on year growth, Forfusion has been a huge early influencer in the ACES program and richly deserve winning an award for the second year running.

‘The key architecture they have taken from Hyperflex, using various programs from Cisco, has really helped them introduce disruptive technology into their account base. They have also looked to upgrade one of their largest customers to DNA, refreshing switches after articulating the key benefits of moving to a software defined infrastructure with DNA.

‘All of this has been pivotal in driving innovation using key Cisco technology, solving key business objectives for Forfusion’s client base. We’re absolutely delighted with their active contribution to ACES across all aspects of the programme.’
