A ‘Grand Entrance’ for Scarborough’s unique Shop

Scarborough’s unique Shop at the Stephen Joseph Theatre is eagerly anticipating its grand re-opening on Monday 12th March 2018.

Shop at the SJT, which includes creations from 14 talented Makers, is set to reveal its ‘new look’ premises, part of the Stephen Joseph Theatre’s Transform project.

The new look premises will include a bespoke Art Deco window that will have pride of place as part of the shop’s retail space in the theatre’s foyer area.

Shop at the SJT features some of the local area’s most eclectic talents, showcasing their creations in this iconic listed building.

Lynne Arnison, chairperson of the collective, said:

“All our 14 Makers are delighted to be part of the theatre’s exciting new developments.

“Our collective creates gifts that match their beautiful surroundings.

“The ‘window on the world’ will make a huge difference to Shop at the SJT, as our creations can be seen from the outside for the first time!”
