Harrogate business selected for ‘buy British’ campaign

Fraser Love, director of Yorkshire Appliance Repairs, has been selected to spearhead the Harrogate part of a Buy British campaign.

He has been appointed as a service and sales agent for Ebac washing machines in the Harrogate area and flies the flag for the British-made appliances, holding a stock of the machines for immediate delivery to customers.

Fraser said: “I have definitely seen a demand for British made products. Now more than ever, consumers want something that does the job and will last without having to worry about expensive repair costs and just the hassle of an appliance that doesn’t work well.

“I have known the brand Ebac for many years as I used to sell its dehumidifiers but now since moving into the repair sector, I have had the pleasure of being a service agent and selling the washing machines. The fact they are made in the UK and are really good solid machines gives them a unique selling point over other cheaper brands out there.

“From the machines I have sold so far, every customer has been over the moon with them and has commented on the quality and the functionality of the washers. Another great selling point is the fact you can choose between seven, eight and nine kilogram drums with a cold fill and hot/cold fill range. This gives the customer the ability to choose the right machine for their household needs.”

Andrew Hobson, director at Ebac, said: “We are delighted with the support we have received from Fraser. It is important to us as a business to work with people we get to know and trust and who have the same values as we do.

“British retailers supporting British manufacturing will help us prosper in the world, particularly post-Brexit.

“We should be prioritising buying British. If people vote with their wallets, they will help rebuild our own manufacturing industries along with an expanding potential for export.

We all want to support a growing economy capable of providing quality jobs for ourselves and our children, all it takes is for us to spend our money on British made goods wherever possible.”
