Homebuilder’s Bright Idea For Garstang Pupils

Pupils at Garstang St Thomas Church of England School have received bright bag tags and hi-viz vests from Barratt Homes to help them stay safe and seen when travelling to and from school.

Barratt Homes Manchester donated 30 hi-visibility bag tags and 30 hi-visibility jackets to the school which is located near to the homebuilder’s development, The Links on Preston New Road in Garstang, for the school’s pupils to wear while walking to and from school, making them easier to be seen.

Jim Blakely, Head Teacher at Garstang St Thomas Church of England School said, “Road safety is obviously a very important issue; the bag tags and hi-visibility jackets will help to keep our children safe and we are grateful to Barratt Homes for their donation.”

Michaela Lancaster, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: “We want to urge pupils to keep safe and seen on the roads, and our donation of hi-visibility bag tags and vests to the school will help keep the children safe as they travel to and from school.

“As a responsible housebuilder, it is important to us that we build communities alongside constructing new homes.”
