Housebuilder launches Easter egg appeal across Durham

Durham housebuilder Barratt Developments North East, which includes the Barratt and David Wison Homes brands, has launched its Easter Egg appeal in Durham for the second year running to support a number of local children’s charities.

Barratt Developments is encouraging local communities to visit a number of housing developments across the region from now until Easter weekend (April 16th) to donate Easter eggs, which will then be distributed to children across the North East.

Local people are being invited to drop off their Easter egg donations at Barratt Homes’ Merrington Park and Burton Woods developments in Spennymoor, along with Berry Edge in Consett.

Participating David Wilson Homes developments include Mount Oswald and The Drive at Mount Oswald in Durham, as well as Elba Park in Houghton le Spring. All eggs will then be donated to the charities, which include Durham Hospital children’s ward, Children North East, the Rainbow Trust and Beefy’s Charity Foundation.

Fenton Hewitt, Sales Director for Barratt Homes North East, commented:
“We are committed to supporting the communities surrounding our developments, which is why we are excited to be collecting Easter eggs that will be donated to a number of important charities in the North East. Several developments across Durham are taking part and I have no doubt the generous people from the community will donate lots of Easter eggs for these great causes.”
