A Huddersfield firm has been shortlisted for the Innovation Award at the 2018 Brand Yorkshire Business Awards. The Company is being recognised for their development of an interactive online business tool that helps small businesses to identify small changes required to deliver big improvements.
Launched in June this year, the Business Growth Mapper has already helped a number of Yorkshire businesses to improve sales, customer retention and customer satisfaction – and it has attracted interest from organisations as far away as Australia.
The Business Growth Mapper is the brainchild of Nigel Greenwood, Managing Director of Simply Customer Ltd, based in Huddersfield. Nigel has been advising businesses from all sectors on sales and customer decision making processes on a face-to-face basis for a number of years. Having built his own business from nothing, he knows what is really important and he created the online tool to help more small businesses to grow by increasing their understanding of their customers’ experience and, as a consequence, improving their sales performance.
“I’ve been developing the product for over three years but officially launched it only three months ago, so I’m over the moon that we’ve been shortlisted for the award.” Nigel declared. “The tool is unique because it’s interactive and provides a number of recommendations and guidance specifically for small businesses. They react quicker than larger firms and see an impact sooner, so I feel a great sense of achievement because my product makes a difference.”
The Business Growth Mapper establishes the starting point for each user, identifies specific problems, makes recommendations and monitors the impact. Users re-visit the process after six months and it evolves with their businesses.
“Being shortlisted has come at a great time too because we are just launching a second version especially for new businesses called the Business Start-Up Mapper “explained Nigel.
The winner will be announced at the Brand Yorkshire Business Awards in Leeds on 5th December.
