Hull site fifth venue in fast-growing Northern gym chain

Ultra Flex gym facilities

Rapidly-expanding gym and fitness chain, Ultra Flex, has announced that it is taking a site in Kingston Upon Hull which will be its fifth venue across Yorkshire and the Humber, and the largest gym in the city.

Located at Trackside Business Park on Hawthorne Avenue, close to Hull city centre, a 15,000sq ft gym complex will be created and is expected to be open for business in August following an extensive fit out programme. It will feature a main gym, studio, physiotherapy facilities, café and barber shop. In addition, a large range of free weights as well as cardio and resistance machines, a 25m prowler track, nutritional supplements and sun beds will be available at the Hull gym complex.

The new Hull venue will create three jobs as well as providing opportunities for self-employed personal trainers. Grace Allison of Clarion’s property team advised Ultra Flex on securing the ten year lease at Trackside Business Park.

The Hull premises is the second Ultra Flex gym to be added to the chain this year, following the creation of a new gym in York which is due to open this month. There are also Ultra Flex gyms in Leeds, Normanton and Rotherham.

Manager of Ultra Flex Hull, Russ Wood, said: “Finding such large premises within easy reach of the city centre is great news. It gives us the scope to create the largest gym complex in Hull, offering members a huge choice of amenities including new changing, studio and fitness rooms, a barber shop and cardio, boxing and MMA as well as featuring some of the best equipment from around the world.

“The popularity of the Ultra Flex concept means that the business is growing very quickly and it’s vital to have a trusted legal partner on board like Clarion which can work with us to swiftly secure the best sites as we expand across the region.”
