Hygge Tipi Returns to Yorkshire

People around the country are embracing the Danish way of living known as Hygge and one Yorkshire company’s take on this unique concept is to return at October half term.

Totally Tipi is bringing its unique pop-up café and licensed bar, Hygge Tipi back to Cannon Hall Museum, Park and Gardens next month.

‘Hygge’ is a Danish concept which is best described as a quality of cosiness or comfortability, making simple, everyday things more meaningful.

At Hygge Tipi, this means creating a warm atmosphere where you can enjoy the good things in life with friends and family.

Laura Drury, director of Totally Tipi explains: “After the success of our past Hygge Tipi events we’re pleased to return to Cannon Hall for the third time.

“With the kids only just going back to school it may be too early to think about October half term but our Hygge Tipi is the perfect space for a bit of relaxation during the break. We welcome anyone to enjoy the sanctuary of our happy space on their day out.”

Visitors needn’t worry about the weather, Totally Tipi’s Scandinavian giant teepees form the perfect space to relax with comfy sofas, roaring fires, a ‘kids nook’ with games, books and toys- all with an overall relaxed atmosphere and a warm, friendly welcome.

As well as providing a cosy resting spot, visitors to the Hygge Tipi will be able to enjoy a range of drinks, from coffee to real ales, and hot food will also be available.

The event runs October 28 – November 5 at Cannon Hall, there is no cost and families, individuals and their dogs are welcome to enjoy the atmosphere that only Hyge Tipi can provide. More information can be found at www.facebook.com/Hyggetipi.
