Ian Whilby Joins Noir Agency as Non-Executive Director

Manchester-based Noir Agency today announces the appointment of Ian Whilby as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Ian joins Noir to assist in driving growth with his extensive experience in Business Development within the creative industry.

Before returning to Manchester Whilby held several senior business development positions with some of the earliest digital agencies in London. These included Havas owned Real-Time Studio (Subsequently subsumed in what is now known as Havas Helia) led by Digital Hall of Fame inductee Phil Jones. During this time Whilby secured several major account wins including securing the contract to provide an in house creative digital studio for Conde Nast Online, he was also involved in securing the assignment to create Diesel Jean’s first pan European e-commerce store.

On returning to the Northwest Ian held Directorships at Scanda Group in addition to a number of NED/consulting positions. He has a reputation for achieving commercial and financial targets in addition to the overall corporate objective. More recently Whilby worked alongside the Senior Management team of High Access Maintenance during there merger with NWC and creation of the NSS Group.


A recognised industry expert, in exploiting new channels to market, driving CRM and retention with experience in industrial, commercial and local government sectors.
