The Leeds office of Ison Harrison has bolstered its growing commercial property department following the appointment of two new lawyers.
Richard Scott has nearly 20 years’ experience in commercial property, with expertise extending to development work and agricultural property, having previously worked at a large regional firm.
Dhiran Mistry specialises in all aspects of commercial and residential property, including commercial loans and licenses to assign.
The appointment of Richard and Dhiran further strengthens the city centre team at the Leeds-headquartered firm.
Richard’s new position will see him further develop his already extensive experience in commercial property law, with a particular focus on providing expert advice in relation to leasehold and freehold Commercial and Agricultural acquisitions and disposals.
As part of his new role, Dhiran will be getting involved with the local community and charitable initiatives, helping to raise funds and awareness. His first initiative is to support the upcoming Kind Hearts Give Back Ball, a prestigious annual charity ball which Dhiran has a close personal relationship with. In January 2010, whilst at university, Dhiran was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Following a period of recovery, Dhiran’s determination saw him resume his studies just 18 months later, qualifying as a solicitor earlier this year.
As a lead sponsor of the event, Dhiran will co-ordinate Ison Harrison’s support of the event which in previous years has raised funds for various charities including Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie, Yorkshire Cancer Centre and Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust. The ball takes place at New Dock Hall in Leeds on 25 March 2018.
