Lindley-based marketing and PR agency KC Communications have announced plans to organise and promote a Huddersfield Business Week. The week will take place on Monday 30th September until Friday 4th October and will see local businesses host workshops and seminars across the town.

The aim of the week is for Huddersfield businesses to showcase all the great products and services that they have to offer whilst sharing knowledge and exchanging expertise. Several high-profile organistions from the town have already signed up to take part, including Sheards Accountants, Ridley & Hall Solicitors, the 3M BIC and the University of Huddersfield.

KC Communications made the decision to organise and promote the week due to the lack of anything similar in the area that will really help Huddersfield shout about the fantastic businesses and industries it is home to. The week looks to encourage businesses to move or stay in Huddersfield and to attract inward investment.

Katrina Cliffe, Founder and Managing Director of KC Communications, explained: “There is so much hidden talent across Huddersfield, and often there is the assumption that companies located in the big cities are the ones who are more up to the task – we’re ready to show once and for all that that is no longer the case.”

Any Huddersfield-based business with a HD postcode is able to get involved by hosting an event. Events can be registered on the Huddersfield Business Week website and KC Communications will assist in its promotion. Any group or individual looking to attend can also check the events section of the website to sign-up to an event that interests them.

The initiative has received support from Kirklees Council, the Mid-Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, Ad:Venture, and Huddersfield Unlimited.
