Kendal Creative Agencies Shortlisted for Awards Following Cumbrian Collaborations

James Cropper Website shortlisting for the Best Website Migration

Kendal based A Digital has seen recent website projects for Cumbrian businesses shortlisted in 3 categories for the Northern Dev Awards, including the coveted Small Dev Agency of the Year (less than 10 people). The awards celebrate excellence in website development across the North and the shortlisting comes hot on the heels of a win at last year’s Northern eCommerce Awards, in which A Digital won Best Food and Drink eCommerce website for their work with Hawkshead Relish.

A Digital has been shortlisted for their extensive work with Windermere Lake Cruises which has seen the introduction of a new online maintenance management system, display signage and website bookings integrated with their till system.

Long-time collaborators Plain Creative, also based in Kendal, are joint finalists with A Digital for the Best Website Migration award, following a project that saw both companies work together to deliver a new website for James Cropper plc that launched in July last year.

Andrew Armitage, founder of A Digital told us, “It’s fantastic to get industry recognition for our work. As companies become more reliant on digital technology and look to maximise efficiencies, websites have become increasingly complex. Being able to deliver reliable and robust functionality is critical to achieving success.” Andrew continues, “What makes these award entries extra special is that they’re the result of working with locally based companies who each make a significant economic impact on the region”.

Craig Butterworth, Partner at Plain Creative said, “We are delighted to receive industry recognition for this project. We value the close relationship we have with both James Cropper plc and A Digital. Collectively we have presented a well-loved, highly innovative, Cumbrian business in a meaningful way to diverse audiences”.

Richard Bracewell, Marketing Director at James Cropper said, “Our website re-launch last year combined several websites that were running different systems. The migration of these sites into a new single platform was handled with confidence and minimal impact on the business. We’re delighted with how easy to use the new system is, and we feel the collaboration between A Digital and Plain Creative demonstrates the depth of creative and technical talent available on our doorstep”.

The shortlisting for Dev Agency of the Year reflects the growing number of projects that A Digital deliver where seamless integrations with different systems and online services are essential to support internal efficiencies as well as the overall customer experience.

Winners of the Northern Dev Awards will be announced at a gala dinner hosted at Manchester Hall on 25 February.
