Kendal Financial Adviser achieves Chartered status

Jacqui Shaw, Financial Adviser at Moore Wealth Limited in Kendal

A Financial Adviser from Kendal has been awarded the industry’s gold standard for financial planners by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Jacqui Shaw, an adviser at Moore Wealth Limited, has achieved the prestigious ‘Chartered Financial Planner’ status becoming one of only a select number of individuals in the UK to be recognised as being at the forefront of the profession.

Chartered status is an exclusive title awarded only to individuals that meet rigorous criteria relating to professionalism and capability. All Chartered Financial Planners commit to the CII’s Code of Ethics, reinforcing the highest standards of professional practice in their business dealings.

Jacqui successfully completed her journey of advanced planning exams despite the challenges of the last 12 months, including juggling full-time work with home schooling three young sons.

She said: “After working within the financial services industry for more than 20 years, I was keen to take on a new challenge and to me, Chartership really highlights commitment, dedication, and passion to your clients by reaching that highest possible level of service.

“I had some fantastic support from the Moore Wealth team who would quiz me on key areas on a regular basis and also from my husband who would step in with the children when I needed to study in the evenings. It was tough and quite tiring at times, particularly during lots of other challenges brought about by the pandemic, but I’m so pleased I stuck with it as to receive that exclusive external recognition was well worth the hard work!”

Joanne Moore, Director of Moore Wealth Limited, added: “Career and continuous personal development go hand in hand at Moore Wealth. We invest in our people both financially and with time, and as a result every member of our team has externally recognised professional qualifications from accountancy to specialist areas in Financial Services.

“As well as enhancing the skills of our team and emphasising how much we value them, this development also strengthens the service and professionalism of the practice for the benefit of our clients.”

To date, over 23,000 individuals have achieved Chartered status, which demonstrates technical competence and serves as a mark of trust within the financial advice market.
