KwizzBit launches free quiz advent calendar this Christmas

Play free quizzes everyday in December from 1st to 24th

KwizzBit, the interactive smartphone quiz platform, is launching a free virtual advent calendar to allow people to play quizzes together throughout December.

Every day from the 1st to the 24th, a new quiz will be released into their online platform. Curated by their in-house quiz writers, with over 60 years combined experience, the quizzes will vary from classic pub quiz formats to fan favourite topics.

Anyone who signs up for an account on their website will be able to host their own quiz with up to 2 other players. However, the option to upgrade to a host account will be available for hosting larger games.

As a cloud-based service, KwizzBit quizzes can be hosted and played virtually using video conferencing tools like Zoom, as well as physically in more traditional settings like the pub.

Commenting on the calendar, KwizzBit’s marketing manager, Joel, said: “Christmas is usually a magical time of the year for people to come together and celebrate, but the way we celebrate it is going to have to be a bit different this year.

“We wanted to create something that would enable everyone, regardless of what tier they’re living in, to connect with their families, friends and communities”.

Due to the pandemic, demand for KwizzBit’s online trivia platform has skyrocketed, as it saw up to 70,000 unique players per month at the height of the first lockdown and events hosted by the likes of Chris Tarrant and Konnie Huq.

As a result, KwizzBit released a number of technical developments that enabled them to meet this demand from new market opportunities, including businesses, fundraisers and people at home.

Joel said: “Quizzing has played an important part in getting through this year, from providing social interaction to helping raise much needed funds for charities.

“It’s shaped the way we think about our technology and how we can apply it to bring people joy. This advent calendar is an extension of that thinking designed to help get them in the Christmas spirit”.
