Lancaster firm creates new brand and website for FTSE 100 health and beauty supplier

The Design Plus website, by Hotfoot Design

Branding, digital and marketing agency, Hotfoot Design, has unveiled a new brand identity and website for Design Plus Health & Beauty.

Design Plus is one of the UK’s leading specialists in the manufacture, filling and packaging of bespoke sachets, bottles and tubes for some of the biggest names in health and beauty, including Boots, Elemis and Soap & Glory.

The team at Lancashire-based Hotfoot Design has worked closely with Design Plus over recent months to fully understand their business and create a clean new brand identity, value proposition, logo, tone of voice, website, photography and email newsletter design.

Established in 2000, Design Plus has grown from a privately-owned company, to become part of DCC plc, one of Europe’s leading health and beauty providers and a FTSE 100 business. The company’s team of 94 staff is based at its head office in Morecambe, Lancashire, which includes laboratory, manufacturing and production facilities.

Hotfoot Founder and Creative Director, Charlie Haywood, says of their work on behalf of Design Plus: “It’s a pleasure to deliver projects that are so wide-reaching within a company: our work with Design Plus has involved almost our entire team to produce a refreshed value proposition, brand, logo, website, tone of voice, photography and email newsletter design. It has enabled us to gain a deep understanding of Design Plus’s strategy and vision for the future and create a look and feel that will really help to take that forward.”

Robin Proud, Commercial Director at Design Plus Health & Beauty, says: “In developing our new logo and website, Hotfoot has really got to the core of our business and understood what we deliver, who our clients are and how we wish to be perceived now and in the future. It means that it’s been much more than a refresh of our look – our work with Hotfoot has renewed the whole way we present the value we offer to our current and prospective clients.”

Hotfoot’s work with Design Plus Health & Beauty is the latest in a number of high-profile projects for the agency, which was recently recognised as Creative Business of the Year at the 2019 Red Rose Awards. Hotfoot Design works across a wide range of sectors including hospitality and leisure, business to business and the third sector.

Recent Hotfoot successes have included delivering a new brand and website for iconic Blackpool showbar Funny Girls and for new museum, Windermere Jetty. Heritage jeweler Leonard Dews has benefitted from a new brand identity, spanning its social media, packaging, brochures and outdoor advertising. Meanwhile Lancaster Brewery has a new website, backed up by refreshed content marketing, PR, copywriting, SEO and gift voucher platform.
